The Davina brand, created for tennis and beach tennis coach Paulo Davina, was developed to support the expansion of his presence in the market through a strong, authentic, and personality-driven visual identity. A Brazilian coach with years of experience, Paulo sought a brand that would reflect his technical authority while embracing the energy and charisma that define his relationship with students of all ages.
The concept draws directly from his brand personality, shaped by energy, dedication, learning, and discipline, with a special emphasis on energy — the core element guiding the entire design system. The identity strikes a balance between Paulo’s engaging, informal communication style with both children and adults, and the authority and respect he holds as a coach.
The pictogram is simple yet highly functional: a tennis ball in subtle rotation, conveying motion, placed within a symmetrical “D”. This "D" was carefully designed to suggest the air displacement of a high-speed tennis ball — a visual metaphor for the intensity and dynamism that define Davina’s presence on and off the court.
The wordmark uses a modern, all-uppercase typeface, conveying strength and authority. Its sharp corners reinforce the sense of energy and power, while the pictogram’s “D” was adapted to align seamlessly with the wordmark’s proportions, ensuring full visual harmony.
The brand elements were designed to function together or independently, following the model of major sports brands such as Nike, Adidas, and Wilson — providing high versatility in usage.
The color palette features vibrant and radiant tones, including fluorescent lime green, inspired by tennis balls, and orange and red tones, evoking the look of clay courts. These colors are used in contrast with black and white, ensuring visual impact, legibility, and flexibility across various applications.
